Breast cancer is a form of cancer that grows in the cells of the breast. It mostly occurs in women and rarely in men. It sometimes starts as a lump in the breast although not all breast lumps are cancerous. For you to be sure you’re safe, there is the need to go for a test. Be it a mammogram, an ultrasound scan, or a biopsy among others. These tests would ascertain the state of your breast.
Since cancer of the breast is deadly and a silent killer, one needs to do regular checks to be sure.
De Pull-Up Foundation in collaboration with MaudLokko Breast Cancer Foundation @susan lokko organized a Free Breast Screening for the members of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Victory Congregation at Old Dansoman in Ablekumah sub metro. This occurred on August 8, 2021.
Our purpose was to educate them on the prevalence and severity of breast cancer and to screen all the women and men available to detect whether there was any sign of breast cancer development in their bodies. Those found with some signs/symptoms were given further guidance and treatment.
