Breast Screening Project

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in both developing and developed countries. It is the cause of cancer death among women globally. Breast cancer affects both males and females regardless the age.

According to the International Agency for Research on cancer, in 2020, about 4, 482 people (both sexes) out of 24, 009 people had breast cancer. This is a very serious issue if not dicey that needs prompt attention.

On August 8, 2021, De Pull up foundation in conjunction with Maudloko Foundation undertook a free breast-screening project for 59 people at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Victory Assembly at Mamprobi in Ablekuma Sub Metro. Out of the 59, we had 3 persons suspected to have lumps in the breast and were given further guidance.

This initiative was held under our thematic area for Women Health and Empowerment. De Pull up foundation is very concerned about the general well-being of women and that is the primary reason for this project.

Breast cancer is a cause for alarm and a problem for all; hence, all hands on deck to fight it. Always remember to examine your breast often. Visit the hospital if you feel a lump in it and experience any pains from the breast as well.
